This week, Inside Business First caught up with Business First’s Empire Business Centre, Burnley, tenants, T H Financial Recovery, to find out all about who they are, what they do and why they chose to operate from Business First, Burnley.
We sat down with Director of T H Financial Recovery, Jonathan Taylor, to find out more.
What does your business do?
“We provide advice and solutions to both companies and individuals in financial distress.”
How did you hear about Business First?
“We researched on the internet when we were looking for new offices. During our search, we came across Business First’s offices in Burnley, at the Empire Business Centre in Rose Grove, and decided we’d go and take a look at the place, as it looked and sounded great online.”
So, why did you decide to operate from Business First’s offices in Burnley?
“When we came for our tour, after researching and coming across Business First, we were really impressed. The offices, and the building as a whole, are of such a high standard. And the rates are really competitive, as well.”
How long have you been at Business First, Burnley, and how big is your office?
“We have a 1,000 sq. ft. office and we moved in in May 2016, we’ve just signed a new two-year tenancy agreement, as well, which probably says more about how happy we are here than anything we could say about the place. Actions speak louder than words, and all that.”
What benefits do you get from operating from Business First?
“The offices are fully serviced, so we don’t have to worry about finding and employing our own cleaners, which sounds arbitrary, but is a genuine bonus for us – it isn’t easy to keep an office the size of ours tidy.
“The fact that the building and offices are so well presented gives any clients and visitors that we have a great first impression of our business. There are meeting rooms and board rooms that we can use, and again, these are of a very high standard, with plenty of state-of-the-art equipment in them, to make any meetings held in them run as smoothly as they possibly can.
“The fact that the boardrooms are ‘shared’, and available for all tenants to use also stops them from becoming a direct expense to the tenants, particularly when they’re not in use. Obviously were we to need to own our own boardroom, this would come with an added cost to us, so the fact that these are provided for free, to all tenants is simply fantastic!
“Basically, being a tenant at Business First’s Burnley offices makes perfect sense.”
Do you make use of the free facilities at Business First?
“We use the boardrooms regularly, a lot of us often use the gym, too.
“And, having free parking for all of our staff and visitors is a huge benefit, which we, obviously, use every day.”
How has Business First helped you to run your business successfully?
“It’s a pretty long list, to be honest.
“First of all, it’s really close to home for all of our staff. It’s great to have such a high standard of offices available without having to commute into Manchester. There’s 24/7 access to the building, which, again, is great and has meant greater flexibility for the staff and me.
“And without going over it all again, the facilities are great and the rates are really competitive.”
What would you say the best thing that Business First has done for your business is?
“The contribution to staff morale. Due to all the factors I’ve already mentioned, both I and the staff are very happy here, and obviously, staff morale is a hugely important factor within the workplace.”
Would you recommend Business First to other SMEs?
What’s next for T H Financial Recovery?
“Well, the plan is to continue to grow. And when we do, we’ll need a bigger office, here at Business First, Burnley.”
